Shipping Policy

OUR SHIPPING POLICY 

Your satisfaction is our number one priority, and we take pride in providing you with fast, dependable and safe delivery service. Each order is shipped using one of our 3 standard methods - whichever one is best suited for your order.

Standard ground - Small Parcel.
All small-to-medium sized orders $100.00 and above will ship *FREE using UPS, Fed Ex, or DHL Ground Services. You will receive a tracking number via email from Luminaire Montreal, in order to be able to track the order and check on the delivery date. Shipments usually arrive 1-6 business days from the time they leave our warehouse.

Expedited Shipping Services are available including, 24 Hours, 48 Hours, 72 Hours Services. Luminaries Montreal will not be liable for expedited shipping charges due to delay in the lead time of an order. Expedited shipping services are offered only to speed up the Transit Time. We do not guarantee or promise delivery dates, and we have no control over the time prior to the shipment. Therefore, we ask our clients to think ahead and place timely orders that take into consideration both in-house and the transit time. Lead times that are stated on the product pages represent the Average time frame a manufacturer is shipping their product, and are not to be taken as a promise. Instead, they should be seen as an estimate for the lead times.
Truck Freight - Large items
Larger items will ship via truck freight. Lighting Fixtures shipped freight are delivered to curbside or driveway only and may incur an oversized item surcharge; for any additional delivery needs or questions, please contact Luminaire Montreal sales professionals. Truck freight orders require that someone is available to accept the delivery. Usually carriers contact you to set up a delivery time, normally a 2-4 hour appointment window during normal business hours.

Under the circumstances that contact could not have been established with the customer by the carrier, it is the customer who will then be responsible for any storage fees, and freight charges back to the manufacturer in addition to the original shipment expense.
Remote Locations
Items delivered to a remote location may be subject to an additional Remote location fee. These fees are determined by the carrier based on zip / postal code and will be applied to the order prior to completing checkout.
 
About Estimated Shipping Times
The 'Ships In' time is provided to Luminaire Montreal by each manufacturer and is an approximation of the average number of business days it takes the manufacturer to process your order and ship the item from their warehouse. These delivery times are not a guarantee.

Chandeliers marked 'In Stock' are items that we have in stock or the manufacturer has provided us a real time inventory feed for. These Chandeliers normally ship from the warehouse within two business days; however these Lighting Fixtures are subject to prior sale, and availability. Lead times as well are not asserted.

Occasionally, Lighting Fixtures shown to be in stock or available get pre sold, in this case, we will send you an email notification saying that your item is on backorder, you can either continue to wait for that item, or select a different item to order. Special Order products can have varying shipping times, and we at Luminaire Montreal recommend ordering Special Order Items well in advance to avoid project delays.
Damaged & Defective Goods
At Luminaire Montreal, we understand that a Lighting Fixture may get damaged during transportation or, on occasion, there may be a defect from the manufacturer. Rest assured, we will help you during this process and make sure we do everything we can to bring it to a satisfying and timely conclusion- at no expense to you. In return if the package seems damaged we will request your verification of the item.. This will make things much easier if you decide to return the item.

Small Package Deliveries
For smaller UPS or FedEx deliveries that are damaged in transit, please contact us at Luminaire Montreal immediately instead of refusing the package. If damages are reported within 7 Days for UPS or Fed-Ex deliveries, we can file a claim on behalf of the customer and work to quickly resolve it. Please remember that replacements or refunds can be hindered or denied if the customer fails to notify Luminaire Montreal of defective or damaged goods within 24 hours of receipt.
Large Package Deliveries
Immediate inspection is especially important when receiving large items by common freight carriers. In this case, it is important to take note of any damage on the bill of lading or receipt when you sign for the delivery, even if the package appears only slightly damaged. All damages should be reported to Luminaire Montreal within 24 hours of delivery.

Customers who sign for delivery and do not note 'damage' automatically assume responsibility if  the merchandise is damaged. If the Chandelier itself appears significantly wrecked, you may refuse delivery. Do not forget to notify Luminaire Montreal of refusal, so we can anticipate the return and send out a new item.
Luminaire Montreal will repair or replace the damaged or defective goods for no additional charge. If a return is preferred instead of a replacement, the 'Standard Return Policy' applies and there could be a restocking fee and our initial shipping and handling costs will be deducted from the credit. If the customer fails to follow the  return procedure for the damaged Lighting Fixture it may result in a charge for the free replacement of the Chandelier.

Returned Lighting Fixtures that are found to be in working condition, or shipped as ordered can turn out to not be eligible for a refund. In such a case Luminaire Montreal will email you for your decision on whether to ship the Lighting Fixture back to you at your expense or be refunded with a 50% restocking fee and store credit.
